Now that you’ve heard how to save time before you start a task and how to overcome procrastination once you’ve started, in part three of our series on executive function and time management this week, we’re diving into all things focus and sustaining your attention.
Whether you’re working on a long-term project that is going to take a few years, or a shorter-term project with a deadline soon, a lack or loss of concentration is extremely common. We all have distractions in our lives that pull us away from our task at hand, and this is where the executive functioning skills of sustained focus and impulse control step in.
If you can’t seem to sit still once you’ve started a task, find your mind drifting, or often give in to the urge to check your phone or reply to emails immediately, listen in. You’ll hear why building and sustaining focus is vital for reaching your goals, and how to apply executive functioning skills to better sustain your focus and manage distractions in your work.
I have created a group coaching program dedicated to supporting women lawyers, just like you, in your practice and your personal life. I’m going to help you create an even greater impact in your own life, and the lives of those around you. For more information, send me an email!
